Originally from New York, I've been a North Carolina resident for almost 4 years now and I do love it here, but I sure do miss snow in the wintertime :( I'm 29 and absolutely loving it, happily married with four children - Christina age 10, Adrian age 6, Faith age 5 and Merrick age 1 (all pictured on the left). When and if I have spare time :) I love to dance, write, paint, draw, knit and play just about anything with my children so long as it doesn't involve bugs :) I help coach my children's soccer teams and I like volunteering to help their teachers at school. We love to make a lot of things together, crafts, art projects. I'm teaching my oldest to knit and crochet. Spending time with my family is my number one priority. No matter what, its those little faces you see to your left that are the light of my life; they wake me up in the morning, they are who are always there to hug me when I'm having a bad day and they are who will love me everyday no matter what. There's nothing in the world more important than a love like the one you get with having a family.
Family is very important to me, always has been. Family is the reason why I am where I am today. Earlier in my life, I managed restaurants and retail stores and sure that fast paced life and money can be nice, but once I started having children, I settled down and wanted to be at home with them, so I worked from home doing daycare/preschool to continue to make money and stay at home doing it. Once moving here to NC, however, I attended my first in-home direct sales party, a cooking show, and although I'd been a long time buyer, this was my first party that I'd ever been to, and the consultant that day (my director now) showed me that my love for cooking could be a career, and so I joined the company and started a new and exciting venture. Soon after, I discovered Home Interiors, and realized my love for decorating and candles was blossoming into a career as well. Things were surely looking very promising as my businesses allowed me to get out and meet more and more people and it allowed me to be my own boss and set my own hours which is ALWAYS a plus! :) With the plan to make 2006 and each subsequent year our healthiest yet, I joined Shaklee to do just that!
I have to admit, when I first started selling, I never ever would've imagined selling for more than 1 company, nevermind being successful at them and being able to fit them into my already busy schedule with four children and a husband, but my family is very supportive in what I do. My children love cooking in the kitchen with me, decorating their rooms with stuff from my catalogs, burning great smelling candles, and I dont think I have to tell you how much they enjoy watching mommy chase 'em around from all my extra energy while we're all taking supplements, now do I? :) My children know mommy has her 'parties' on the weekend, and often times there are other children there and they get to meet even more friends than the ones they already have. This isn't just my business, its theirs too, they are just as much a part of them as I am. They're my bestest helpers and my most loyal and loved customers.
Alex Haley once said, "In every conceivable manner, the family is link to our past, bridge to our future." I hope you find that be true as much as I do.
Thanks so much for visiting! :)
